That Man U Ince game was the same season as the City game I was on about. The last season with terraces at Upton Park. I loved that season fantastic atmosphere in the North bank. We built a really good side that year.

the atmosphere at the man u 2-2 draw was something else. when Julian smashed the penalty in, the place went mental

Another obscure one is Man City just after Chapman, Marsh and Burrows signed. I also think Alvin Martin made a come back in the same game. Monday night, 3-1 I think, fantastic atmosphere.

West Ham 3-1 Eintract Frankfurt Cup-Winners Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg 1976

For so-called soft southerners we have actually produced some breath-taking performances on appalling pitches in dreadful conditions. That was one.

The season we signed Hartson and Kitson. Beating Spurs 4-3 when Julian nearly killed Walker with that penalty. Then beating Chelsea 3-2. Went from being dogshit to electrifying in the space of a few weeks.

March 1964 at Hillsborough. We beat ManU 3-1 in the FA cup semi final.

The beginning of three consecutive winning appearances at Wembley for Bobby Moore.

That's the one I think.

Bish hit one from 30 yards that moved both ways - their fans stood and applauded

That Bournemouth game - was that the game where Redknapp Jnr made his debut as a late sub and got a rousing reception? Mullet sporting spindly youth with bags of flair

Saw the title of your thread and was going to say the exact same match. 1993 wasn't it?

I was in the South Bank with my dad, right behind the goal. Amazing day.

I was quite young, so going on the pitch and watching Billy Bonds and the lads come out to greet the crowd from the West Stand Upper was a massive experience for me.

Been a few over the years but you will not find a single poster who was at the Eintracht game who say any other - simply wonderful

If only some of you pups could have borne witniss to that night, the place was heaving and the noise beyond anything since - oh and the game and oponents, not to shabby either

Re: Your favourite Match at the Boleyn?
Just for V son... My favourite pre-96 game was probably beating Liverpool mid-week 3-0 in 94/95 with DEADLY DON getting a brace... Ended any remote chances of relegation as well...

Beating Sunderland 6-0 in 92/93 was a good childhood memory as well...

Coventry League Cup semi final and 3 days later the st valentines day massacre when we beat Chelsea 4-0. Sir Trev scored 2 crackers that day. That 1981 team was possibly the best, most consistent West Ham side I have seen.
